Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of iHermes (“iHermes”, “we”, “us”), a personal assistant available over iMessage and related web pages at ihermes.co. By texting our number, connecting Google or other integrations, or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
iHermes provides an AI-assisted personal agent over iMessage. After you connect supported accounts (such as Google Calendar and Gmail with read-only access, and optionally Linear), iHermes can help with schedule questions, email context, priorities, and related assistance in your Messages thread. Features may change as we improve the product.
2. Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and must not use iHermes if you are under 13. You are responsible for the phone number and accounts you use with the service.
3. Your account and connections
- You authorize iHermes to access Google and other services you connect, only within the permissions you grant.
- You can revoke Google access at any time in your Google Account permissions.
- You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to access other users’ data, or interfere with our systems.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use iHermes to:
- Violate law or third-party rights
- Harass, spam, or send abusive content
- Attempt to extract or abuse other users’ data
- Reverse engineer or overload the service except as allowed by law
5. AI-generated content
Replies may be generated or assisted by AI models. They can be incomplete or incorrect. Do not rely on iHermes as the sole source for legal, medical, financial, or other critical decisions. Verify important information yourself.
6. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy, including how we handle Google user data under Google’s Limited Use requirements.
7. Intellectual property
iHermes branding, software, and site content are owned by us or our licensors. You retain ownership of your content and account data. You grant us a limited license to process that data solely to operate and improve the service for you.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, iHERMES AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100) OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
10. Termination
You may stop using iHermes at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by nature should survive (including privacy, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
